Welcome to Connekz. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Connekz Assistant (the consumer AI chat/demo/helper) and Connekz Instances (the developer API platform). By using any part of our service you agree to these terms.

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of Connekz services, including the Connekz Assistant (available on our marketing website, demos and helper tools) and Connekz Instances (API and developer platform).

By accessing or using any Connekz service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

2. Our Services

Connekz provides generative AI tools designed to make life easier. These tools are powered by large language models and are inherently probabilistic and experimental. We work constantly to improve accuracy, safety and reliability, but we cannot remove the fundamental limitations of current AI technology.

3. Disclaimers and No Warranties

THE SERVICES, ALL OUTPUTS, DEMOS, HELPERS AND ANY ASSOCIATED CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”.

Outputs may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, incomplete information, biases or unexpected results. We cannot guarantee exact behaviour, correctness, safety or suitability of any output.

Important notice about demos and helpers
The Connekz demo on our marketing website and the Connekz helper on the developer portal are provided to give helpful guidance. However, they may produce hallucinations or false information. Always rely exclusively on the official written documentation published on our website for accurate, authoritative information.

4. Use at Your Own Risk

You use the Services and all Outputs entirely at your own risk. Connekz shall have no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, claim or expense arising from your use of, reliance on, or distribution of any Output.

5. Developer-Specific Provisions (Connekz Instances)

Connekz Instances give developers powerful AI capabilities to integrate into their own products.

We do not monitor, verify or have any built-in mechanism to validate how you use the service. This respects your privacy and autonomy.

We strongly encourage legal, ethical and responsible use. However, you are solely responsible for everything you build, every decision made with Outputs, and any consequences that arise. Connekz is not liable for anything you build or any harm caused by your applications.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services to violate laws, promote harm, infringe rights, or circumvent safety measures. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for any violation.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your inputs. You grant Connekz a licence to use inputs and Outputs to provide and improve the service. Outputs may be used by you internally or commercially, but you may not resell raw model outputs in a way that competes with Connekz.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connekz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (ii) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Connekz against any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of Outputs, or any products you build with Connekz Instances.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
